All Club Members and Spectators

  1. Operate within the rules and spirit of football and encourage to do the same.
  2. Display control, respect and professionalism to others involved with football. This includes, opponents, coaches, officials, administrators, the media, parents and spectators.
  3. Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every young person regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion.
  4. Never ridicule or scold a player  for making a mistake.
  5. Remember that young people participate in football for their enjoyment and benefit, not yours.
  6. Control your temper. Verbal abuse of officials, parents, players and others and sledging, distracting or provoking of players is not acceptable behaviour.
  7. Above all avoid violence, should a situation arise, leave response to officials present, increasing the number of participants can only inflame the problem.
  8. Adhere to Association, Council and Club policies and regulations, in particular those governing alcohol, litter, noise and dogs.
  9. Encourage all others to also follow this code of conduct.

Coaches

  1. Aside from injury, each junior player should be on the field for at least half the game time. All players deserve equal playing and training time, regardless of their ability.
  2. Be reasonable in your demands on players' time, energy and enthusiasm.
  3. Any physical contact with a young player should be appropriate to the situation and necessary for their development.
  4. Ensure that the time players spend with you is a positive experience. All young players are deserving of equal attention and opportunities.
  5. Ensure that equipment and facilities meet safety standards and are appropriate to the age, maturity and ability of all players.
  6. Show concern and caution toward sick and injured players. Follow the advice of a physician when determining whether an injured player is ready to recommence training or competition.

Players

  1. Players should never argue with referees. If you disagree with a decision, have your captain, coach or manager approach the official on your behalf.
  2. Work for your team. Your team's performance will benefit and so will you.
  3. Be a good sport; applaud all good plays whether they are made by your team or the opposition.
  4. Participate for your own enjoyment and benefit, not just to please your parents and coaches.

Parents

  1. Focus on your child's efforts and performance rather than winning or losing, positive comments help motivate young players.
  2. Remember that children learn best by example. Appreciate good performances and skilful plays by all participants.
  3. Show appreciation for volunteer coaches, officials and administrators. Without them, your child could not participate in football.
